Abstract
An information indication method includes receiving a first message including first information. The first information indicates location information of a first synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel block (SSB) which is usable for reduced capability (REDCAP) user equipment. The method also includes determining the first SSB based on the first information.
Claims16
A method performed by a first user equipment (UE) or a chip in a first UE, the method comprising:
- receiving a first message comprising first information;
- determining frequency location information of a first synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel block (SSB) based on the first information;
- and
- in response to the first information indicating frequency location information of the first SSB which can be used by a reduced capability (REDCAP) UE to establish a connection with a network device, switching to a frequency indicated by the frequency location information;
- wherein the first message is a system information block (SIB) and the first UE is a REDCAP UE.
An apparatus, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- one or more memories coupled to the one or more processors and storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the apparatus to:
- receive a first message comprising first information;
- determine frequency location information of a first synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel block (SSB) based on the first information;
- and
- in response to the first information indicating frequency location information of the first SSB which can be used by a reduced capability (REDCAP) UE to establish a connection with a network device, switch to a frequency indicated by the frequency location information;
- wherein the first message is a system information block (SIB) and the apparatus is a REDCAP UE or the apparatus is a chip of a REDCAP UE.
A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing computer program code that, when executed by a processor, cause an apparatus to:
- receive a first message comprising first information;
- determine frequency location information of a first synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel block (SSB) based on the first information;
- and
- in response to the first information indicating frequency location information of a first synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel block (SSB) which can be used by a reduced capability (REDCAP) UE to establish a connection with a network device, switch to a frequency indicated by the frequency location information;
- wherein the first message is a system information block (SIB) and the first UE apparatus is a REDCAP UE or the apparatus is a chip of a REDCAP UE.
A computer program product comprising a computer program or instructions, wherein when the computer program or instructions are executed by a processor of an apparatus, the apparatus is caused to:
- receive a first message comprising first information;
- determine frequency location information of a first synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel block (SSB) based on the first information;
- and
- in response to the first information indicating frequency location information of the first SSB which can be used by a reduced capability (REDCAP) UE to establish a connection with a network device, switch to a frequency indicated by the frequency location information;
- wherein the first message is a system information block (SIB) and the apparatus is a REDCAP UE.
