Techniques for surrounding information indication

A method for wireless communication at a network entity, comprising:

• receiving, via a sensor included within the network entity, information associated with a surrounding in which a user equipment (UE) is located;
• predicting, by the network entity, that the UE is on a trajectory to transition into an indoor setting based at least in part on the information associated with the surrounding in which the UE is located, wherein the indoor setting is associated with one or more objects associated with the surrounding;
• predicting, by the network entity and based at least in part on the predicting that the UE is on the trajectory to transition into the indoor setting, a potential physical object blockage of a communication link between the network entity and the UE based at least in part on the information associated with the surrounding in which the UE is located and on the one or more objects associated with the trajectory of the UE;
• transmitting, to the UE, signaling indicating the information associated with the surrounding in which the UE is located based at least in part on the predicting the potential physical object blockage and indicating one or more environmental parameters comprising at least one of UE position information, a quantity of connected UEs at the network entity, or both;
• and
• performing, by the network entity, a communication procedure with the UE based at least in part on the predicting that the UE is on the trajectory to transition into the indoor setting, based at least in part on transmitting the signaling indicating the information associated with the surrounding in which the UE is located, and based at least in part on the one or more environmental parameters.

A user equipment (UE), comprising:

• one or more memories storing processor-executable code;
• and
• one or more processors coupled with the one or more memories and individually or collectively operable to execute the code to cause the UE to:
• receive, from a network entity, signaling comprising information associated with a surrounding in which the UE is located and one or more environmental parameters comprising at least one of UE position information, a quantity of connected UEs at the network entity, or both, wherein the information associated with the surrounding in which the UE is located is determined via a sensor coupled with the network entity;
• predict, by the UE, that the UE is on a trajectory to transition into an indoor setting based at least in part on the information associated with the surrounding in which the UE is located, wherein the indoor setting is associated with one or more objects associated with the surrounding;
• predict, by the UE and based at least in part on prediction that the UE is on the trajectory to transition into the indoor setting, a potential physical object blockage of a communication link between the network entity and the UE based at least in part on the information associated with the surrounding in which the UE is located and on the one or more objects associated with the trajectory of the UE;
• and
• perform, by the UE, a communication procedure with the network entity based at least in part on prediction that the UE is on the trajectory to transition into the indoor setting, based at least in part on prediction of the potential physical object blockage, and based at least in part on the one or more environmental parameters.

A network entity, comprising:

• one or more memories storing processor-executable code;
• and
• one or more processors coupled with the one or more memories and individually or collectively operable to execute the code to cause the network entity to:
• receive, via a sensor included within the network entity, information associated with a surrounding in which a user equipment (UE) is located;
• predict that a trajectory of the UE is to transition into an indoor setting based at least in part on the information associated with the surrounding in which the UE is located, wherein the indoor setting is associated with one or more objects associated with the surrounding;
• predict, by the network entity and based at least in part on prediction that the UE is on the trajectory to transition into the indoor setting, a potential physical object blockage of a communication link between the network entity and the UE based at least in part on the information associated with the surrounding in which the UE is located and on the one or more objects associated with the trajectory of the UE;
• transmit, to the UE, signaling indicating the information associated with the surrounding in which the UE is located based at least in part on the predicting the potential physical object blockage and indicating one or more environmental parameters comprising at least one of UE position information, a quantity of connected UEs at the network entity, or both;
• and
• perform, by the network entity, a communication procedure with the UE based at least in part on prediction that the UE is on the trajectory to transition into the indoor setting, based at least in part on transmitting the signaling indicating the information associated with the surrounding in which the UE is located, and based at least in part on the one or more environmental parameters.
