Abstract
A disclosure of the present specification provides a method for performing communication by a user equipment (UE). The method comprises the steps of: receiving EPHEMERIS information on an NTN satellite and timer information on the EPHEMERIS information from a base station serving as a non-terrestrial network (NTN) gateway; operating a timer on the basis of the timer information; performing communication via the NTN satellite on the basis of the EPHEMERIS information; and on the basis of expiration of the timer, transmitting a request to update the EPHEMERIS information to the base station.
Claims9
A method comprising:
- receiving, by a user equipment (UE), ephemeris information on a Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) satellite and a timer value related to the ephemeris information from a base station;
- starting, by the UE, a timer with the timer value for the ephemeris information;
- and
- performing, by the UE, measurement based on the ephemeris information after the timer expires;
- and
- transmitting, by the UE to the base station, a result of the measurement and information that the result of the measurement is a result measured based on the ephemeris information after the timer expires.
A method comprising:
- transmitting, by a base station to a User Equipment (UE), ephemeris information on a Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) satellite and a timer value related to the ephemeris information;
- and
- wherein the NTN satellite serves access for the UE,
- receiving, by the base station from the UE, a result of measurement performed by the UE and information that the result of the measurement is a result measured based on the ephemeris information after a timer with the timer value expires.
A user equipment, UE, comprising:
- at least one memory;
- and
- at least one processor operably connectable to the at least one memory,
- wherein the at least one memory stores instructions that, based on being executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:
- receiving ephemeris information on a Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) satellite and a timer value related to the ephemeris information from a base station;
- performing measurement based on the ephemeris information after the timer expires;
- and
- transmitting, to the base station, a result of the measurement and information that the result of the measurement is a result measured based on the ephemeris information after the timer expires.
