## Abstract

In an embodiment, a display video selection apparatus is a display video selection apparatus for selecting a predetermined number of remote spectator videos to be displayed on a video display apparatus installed at an event venue from among a plurality of remote spectator videos taken at one or more remote venues and transmitted via a communication network, and includes a video status determination unit and a video output content determination unit. The video status determination unit analyzes the remote spectator videos and quantifies the excitement level of the remote spectators shown in the remote spectator video. The video output content determination unit selects the predetermined number of remote spectator videos in descending order of values of the excitement levels.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A display video selection apparatus for selecting a predetermined number of remote spectator videos to be displayed on a video display apparatus at an event venue from among a plurality of remote spectator videos taken at one or more remote venues and transmitted via a communication network, the display video selection apparatus comprising:
video status determination circuitry configured to analyze the remote spectator videos and quantify the excitement level of the remote spectators shown in the remote spectator video; and
video output content determination circuitry configured to select the predetermined number of remote spectator videos in descending order of values of the excitement levels.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The display video selection apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the video output content determination circuitry:
selects the remote spectator video at regular time intervals, and
determines a position of the selected remote spectator video on the display array of the video display apparatus according to a rule determined by the selected order.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The display video selection apparatus according to claim 2, wherein;
the video output content determination circuitry does not change the display array on the video display apparatus when the remote spectator video continues to be selected even when the value of the excitement level of the remote spectator video changes from the value of the excitement level a certain time ago.

### Claim 4 (depends on 3)

The display video selection apparatus according to claim 3, wherein:
when the value of the excitement level of the remote spectator video changes from the value of the excitement level a certain time ago and the remote spectator video is not selected, the video output content determination circuitry disposes a newly selected remote spectator video at the position on the display array at which the remote spectator videos that have not been selected are disposed.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The display video selection apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising:
non-display spectator setting circuitry configured to receive an input for designating the remote spectator video as non-display from among the selected remote spectator videos and set the designated remote spectator video to non-selection.

### Claim 6 (depends on 1)

The display video selection apparatus according to claim 1, wherein;
the video status determination circuitry quantifies the excitement level based on at least one of a motion vector of the remote spectator itself or an object held by the remote spectator, an orientation of the remote spectator, the presence or absence of the remote spectator, and disturbance or interruption of the remote spectator video.

### Claim 7

A display video selection method for selecting a predetermined number of remote spectator videos to be displayed at an event venue from among a plurality of remote spectator videos taken at one or more remote venues, the display video selection method comprising:
analyzing the remote spectator videos transmitted via a communication network and stored in a memory, quantifying excitement levels of the remote spectators shown in the remote spectator videos, and storing the quantified excitement levels of the remote spectators in the memory; and
selecting the predetermined number of remote spectator videos in descending order of values of the excitement levels stored in the memory.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

A non-transitory computer readable medium storing a display video selection program for causing a computer to execute the method of claim 7.
