Abstract
An image processing apparatus configured to perform character recognition processing to recognize characters included in image data and acquire character information, display characters indicated by the character information acquired, accept a selection of characters displayed by a user, generate a folder path based on the selected characters, and transmit the image data to a folder indicated by the folder path. In a case where the selection of characters is accepted multiple times, generate a folder path based on a combination of selected characters and transmit the image data to a folder indicated by the folder path.

An image processing system comprising:
- a display;
- and
- a controller,
- wherein the controller receives, in a state that a first image of first image data obtained by a single scanning operation performed on a first document is displayed on the display, a designation of a first position of a first area within the first image,
- wherein the controller receives, in the state that the first image of the first image data obtained by the single scanning operation performed on the first document is displayed on the display, a designation of a second position of a second area within the first image,
- wherein the first image data for the designation of the first position is the same as the first image data for the designation of the second position,
- wherein the first image data for the designation of the first position and the first image data for the designation of the second position are obtained by the single scanning operation,
- wherein the controller registers the first position and the second position, and
- wherein the controller performs a process for storing a file that is based on second image data obtained by a scanning operation performed on a second document and that has a file name including one or more characters indicated by character information obtained from an area which is at the registered first position and is within a second image of the second image data in a folder having a folder name including one or more characters indicated by character information obtained from an area which is at the registered second position and is within the second image.

- wherein the controller performs a process for storing a file that is based on second image data obtained by a scanning operation performed on a second document and that has a file name including one or more characters indicated by character information obtained from an area which is at the registered first position and is within a second image of the second image data in a folder having a folder name including one or more characters indicated by character information obtained from an area which is at the registered second position and is within the second image.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing a program that, when executed by a computer, causes the computer to perform a method, the method comprising:
- receiving, in a state that a first image of first image data obtained by a single scanning operation performed on a first document is displayed on a display, a designation of a first position of a first area within the first image;
- receiving, in the state that the first image of the first image data obtained by the single scanning operation performed on the first document is displayed on the display, a designation of a second position of a second area within the first image;
- wherein the first image data for the designation of the first position is the same as the first image data for the designation of the second position, and
- wherein the first image data for the designation of the first position and the first image data for the designation of the second position are obtained by the single scanning operation;
- registering the first position and the second position;
- and
- performing a process for storing a file that is based on second image data obtained by a scanning operation performed on a second document and that has a file name including one or more characters indicated by character information obtained from an area which is at the registered first position and is within a second image of the second image data in a folder having a folder name including one or more characters indicated by character information obtained from an area which is at the registered second position and is within the second image.
