Method and device for receiving EHT sounding NDP frame in wireless LAN system

A receiving station (STA) in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system, the receiving STA comprising:

• a memory;
• a transceiver;
• and
• a processor being operatively connected to the memory and the transceiver,
• wherein the processor is configured to:
• receive an Extreme High Throughput (EHT) Multi User (MU) Physical Protocol Data Unit (PPDU) from a transmitting STA;
• and
• decode the EHT MU PPDU,
• wherein the EHT MU PPDU includes a Universal-Signal (U-SIG) field,
• wherein the U-SIG field includes an Uplink/Downlink (UL/DL) field, a PPDU Type And Compression Mode field, and a Punctured Channel Information field,
• wherein the Punctured Channel Information field includes information on a preamble puncturing pattern of a band in which the EHT MU PPDU is transmitted, and
• wherein based on a value of the PPDU Type And Compression Mode field being 3, the EHT MU PPDU is an EHT Sounding Null Data Packet (NDP) frame regardless of a value of the UL/DL field, and the preamble puncturing pattern is set to an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) puncturing pattern.

A method in a wireless local area network (WLAN) system, the method comprising:

• generating, by a transmitting station (STA), an Extreme High Throughput (EHT) Multi User (MU) Physical Protocol Data Unit (PPDU);
• and
• transmitting, by the transmitting STA, the EHT MU PPDU to a receiving STA,
• wherein the EHT MU PPDU includes a Universal-Signal (U-SIG) field,
• wherein the U-SIG field includes an Uplink/Downlink (UL/DL) field, a PPDU Type And Compression Mode field, and a Punctured Channel Information field,
• wherein the Punctured Channel Information field includes information on a preamble puncturing pattern of a band in which the EHT MU PPDU is transmitted, and
• wherein based on a value of the PPDU Type And Compression Mode field being 3, the EHT MU PPDU is an EHT Sounding Null Data Packet (NDP) frame regardless of a value of the UL/DL field, and the preamble puncturing pattern is set to an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) puncturing pattern.
