Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station and via a radio frequency (RF) link, an indication of resources that support transmission, via the RF link, of an uplink communication associated with a downlink communication received via a visible light communications (VLC) link. The UE may transmit, via the resources, the uplink communication associated with the downlink communication received via the VLC link. Numerous other aspects are described.
Claims30
A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- one or more processors, coupled to the memory, configured to:
- transmit, to a base station, a buffer status report (BSR) indicating a request for resources to transmit an uplink communication, wherein the BSR indicates the request for the resources separately from an additional BSR associated with a transmission of an additional uplink communication associated with a radio frequency (RF) link;
- receive, from the base station and via the RF link, an indication of the resources, wherein the resources support transmission, via the RF link, of the uplink communication, wherein the uplink communication is associated with a downlink communication received via a visible light communications (VLC) link;
- and
- transmit, via the resources, the uplink communication.
A base station for wireless communication, comprising:
- a memory;
- and
- one or more processors, coupled to the memory, configured to:
- receive, from a user equipment (UE), a buffer status report (BSR) indicating a request for resources to transmit an uplink communication, wherein the BSR indicates the request for the resources separately from an additional BSR associated with a transmission of an additional uplink communication associated with a radio frequency (RF) link;
- transmit, to the UE and via the RF link, an indication of the resources, wherein the resources support transmission, via the RF link, of the uplink communication, wherein the uplink communication is associated with a downlink communication received by the UE via a visible light communications (VLC) link;
- and
- receive, via the resources, the uplink communication.
A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- transmitting, to a base station, a buffer status report (BSR) indicating a request for resources to transmit an uplink communication, wherein the BSR indicates the request for the resources separately from an additional BSR associated with a transmission of an additional uplink communication associated with a radio frequency (RF) link;
- receiving, from the base station and via the RF link, an indication of the resources, wherein the resources support transmission, via the RF link, of the uplink communication, wherein the uplink communication is associated with a downlink communication received via a visible light communications (VLC) link;
- and
- transmitting, via the resources, the uplink communication.
A method of wireless communication performed by a base station, comprising:
- receiving, from a user equipment (UE), a buffer status report (BSR) indicating a request for resources to transmit an uplink communication, wherein the BSR indicates the request for the resources separately from an additional BSR associated with a transmission of an additional uplink communication associated with a radio frequency (RF) link;
- transmitting, to the UE and via the RF link, an indication of the resources, wherein the resources support transmission, via the RF link, of the uplink communication, wherein the uplink communication is associated with a downlink communication received by the UE via a visible light communications (VLC) link;
- and
- receiving, via the resources, the uplink communication.
