Rotary electric machine

A rotary electric machine comprising:

• a control board on which a power circuit having a switching element is mounted;
• a motor which is driven by the control board;
• a motor frame which accommodates the motor;
• a cover which covers the control board together with the motor frame;
• and
• a heat sink which is fixed to the motor frame,
• wherein the motor frame, the cover, and the heat sink are made of metal,
• at least three claw portions are provided on the motor frame or the heat sink,
• at least three press-fitting surfaces are provided on an inner surface of the cover, where each of the three claw portions are press-fitted to and come into direct contact with each of the three press-fitting surfaces, and
• the three claw portions are disposed to have the same radius centered on an output shaft of the motor, and an angle between two claw portions adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction is smaller than 180 degrees,
• wherein each of the three press-fitting surfaces and each of the three claw portions have a curved surface shape,
• a contact surface between each of the three press-fitting surfaces and each of the three claw portions is formed such that a normal line to the contact surface passes through a center of the output shaft, and
• a radius of curvature of each of the press-fitting surfaces is larger than a radius of curvature of each of the claw portions.
