Electric powered working machine

An electric powered working machine with a secondary battery, comprising:

• a battery management unit that manages the secondary battery;
• and
• a controller that controls a normal charge without a rest period during charging or a diagnostic charge provided with a rest period during charging for the secondary battery,
• wherein the controller is configured to:
• determine to recommend the diagnostic charge when a current full charge capacity of the secondary battery and a degradation level of the secondary battery capacity are deviated from calculation values of a full charge capacity of the secondary battery and the degradation level of the secondary battery capacity that are calculated in a previous diagnostic charge, and determine not to recommend the diagnostic charge when the current full charge capacity of the secondary battery and the degradation level of the secondary battery capacity are not deviated from the calculation values of the full charge capacity of the secondary battery and the degradation level of the secondary battery capacity that are calculated in the previous diagnostic charge;
• determine whether to execute the diagnostic charge or not based on a state of the secondary battery output from the battery management unit, an estimated charge period necessary for the diagnostic charge, and a site work plan including a work start time, when determining that the diagnostic charge is recommended and control charge of the secondary battery;
• execute the normal charge when determining that the diagnostic charge is not recommended;
• execute the diagnostic charge when determining that the diagnostic charge is recommended and determining that the diagnostic charge is executed;
• and
• even when determining that the diagnostic charge is recommended, execute the normal charge when determining not to execute the diagnostic charge.
