Antenna designs for hearing instruments

A hearing instrument comprising:

• a wireless transceiver;
• and
• an antenna that comprises:
• a first antenna portion comprising a first body, wherein the first antenna portion further comprises:
• a first set of two or more anterior arms extending in an anterior direction from the first body, each arm of the first set of anterior arms having a physical length at least 10% of a total physical length of the first antenna portion, and
• a first set of two or more posterior arms extending in a posterior direction from the first body, each arm of the first set of posterior arms having a physical length at least 10% of the total physical length of the first antenna portion;
• a second antenna portion comprising a second body, wherein the second antenna portion further comprises:
• a second set of two or more anterior arms extending in the anterior direction from the second body, each arm of the second set of anterior arms having a physical length at least 10% of a total physical length of the second antenna portion, and
• a second set of two or more posterior arms extending in the posterior direction from the second body, each arm of the second set of posterior arms having a physical length at least 10% of the total physical length of the second antenna portion;
• a first feed line connected to the wireless transceiver and extending from an edge of the first antenna portion;
• and
• a second feed line connected to the wireless transceiver and extending from an edge of the second antenna portion, wherein each arm of the first set of anterior arms and each arm of the first set of posterior arms is arc-shaped, and wherein a curved line defined by a superior edge of an arm of the first set of anterior arms is continuous with a curved line defined by a superior edge of an arm of the first set of posterior arms.
