Electrochemical device, system, and method

An electrochemical device system, comprising:

• a concentration cell encapsulating at least:
• an electrolytic solution including at least a solvent;
• two electrodes;
• and
• an ion transferer disposed between the two electrodes such that a first compartment and a second compartment are formed within the concentration cell:
• wherein the solvent is vapourized and condensed within the concentration cell to generate two solutions of differing electrochemical potential for galvanic cell operation and wherein in a first cycle the first compartment is a cathode compartment while the second compartment is an anode compartment and wherein in a second cycle the second compartment is a cathode compartment while the first compartment is an anode compartment.

An electrochemical device system, comprising:

• a concentration cell comprising at least:
• an electrolytic solution including at least a solvent;
• a first electrode;
• a second electrode;
• and an ion transferer disposed between the first and second electrodes;
• wherein in a first cycle the solvent is vapourized and condensed to generate two solutions of differing electrochemical potential which are directed to a first side and second side of the ion transferer respectively and the first electrode is a cathode while the second electrode is an anode,
• and wherein in a second cycle the solvent is vapourized and condensed to generate two solutions of differing electrochemical potential which are directed to a first side and second side of the ion transferer respectively and the first electrode is an anode while the second electrode is a cathode.

An electrochemical device system, comprising:

• a concentration cell comprising at least:
• an electrolytic solution including at least a solvent;
• a first electrode;
• a second electrode;
• and an ion transferer disposed between the first and second electrodes;
• wherein the solvent is vapourized and condensed to generate two solutions of differing electrochemical potential which are directed to a first side and second side of the ion transferer respectively,
• and wherein in a first cycle the first electrode loses mass while the second electrode gains mass,
• and wherein in a second cycle the second electrode gains mass while the second electrode loses mass.

An electrochemical device system, comprising:

• at least one concentration cell comprising at least:
• an electrolytic solution including at least a solvent;
• a first electrode;
• and a second electrode;
• wherein the solvent is vapourized and condensed to generate two solutions of differing electrochemical potential for use in the concentration cell,
• and wherein in a first cycle the first electrode is a cathode while the second electrode is an anode,
• and wherein in a second cycle the first electrode is an anode while the second electrode is a cathode.
