Abstract
A labor marketplace exchange (LME) computing system and method are provided. The LME computing system communicates with communications devices of service providers and service users. The LME computing system receives service provider profile data from the service providers. Service users can submit service queries to the LME computing system. Based on the parameters of the service query, service providers are identified by the LME computing system. A service request is then sent to a service provider identified by the LME computing system and selected by the service user

A method performed by a labor marketplace exchange computing system, the method comprising:
- receiving, from each of a plurality of service providers, service provider profile data, wherein the service provider profile data for each respective service provider comprises at least one skill of the respective service provider and is entered by the respective service provider into an interface displayed on a service provider communications device;
- receiving, from a service user, a service query, wherein the service query comprises a geographic location parameter and a service to be performed;
- identifying, from the plurality of service providers, one or more service providers to the service user, wherein the identification of the one or more service providers is based on the service query, the service provider profile data, and a geographic location associated with each of the one or more service providers;
- responsive to receiving a selection of one of the one or more service providers by the service user, causing a service request to be transmitted to the selected service provider;
- responsive to receiving an acceptance of the service request by the selected service provider, generating a service appointment;
- based on a geographic location of the selected service provider, providing the selected service provider with an electronic time clock and a start clock interactive element on the interface displayed on the service provider communications device;
- responsive to receiving a time clock initiation request from the selected service provider based on the selected service provider interacting with the start clock interactive element on the interface displayed on the service provider communications device, causing a time clock initiation approval request to be transmitted to a communications device of the service user;
- and
- responsive to receiving an approval from the service user in response to the time clock initiation approval request, starting the electronic time clock, wherein the electronic time clock tracks an amount of time the selected service provider performs the service request.
A system, comprising:
- a labor marketplace exchange computing system, and
- a data store,
- wherein the labor marketplace exchange computing system is configured to:
- communicate with service provider communications devices of each of a plurality of service providers and communications devices of each of a plurality of service users;
- receive, from each of the plurality of service providers, service provider profile data, wherein the service provider profile data for each respective service provider comprises at least one type of service offering, wherein the service provider profile data is entered by the respective service provider into the service provider communications device;
- store the service provider profile data in the data store;
- receive, from one of the plurality of service users, a service query, wherein the service query comprises a geographic location parameter and a service to be performed;
- identify, from the plurality of service providers, one or more service providers to the service user, wherein the identification of the one or more service providers is based on the service query, the service provider profile data, and a geographic location associated with each of the one or more service providers;
- responsive to receiving a selection of one of the one or more service providers by the service user, cause a service request to be transmitted to the selected service provider;
- responsive to receiving an acceptance of the service request by the selected service provider, generate a service appointment;
- based on a geographic location of the selected service provider, provide the selected service provider with an electronic time clock and a start clock interactive element on an interface displayed on the service provider communications device;
- cause a time clock initiation approval request to be transmitted to a communications device of the service user responsive to receiving a time clock initiation request from the selected service provider based on the selected service provider interacting with the start clock interactive element on the interface displayed on the service provider communications device;
- and
- start the electronic time clock responsive to receiving an approval from the service user, wherein the electronic time clock tracks an amount of time the selected service provider performs the service request.
An online labor marketplace exchange, comprising:
- a labor marketplace exchange computing system, wherein the labor marketplace exchange computing system comprises:
- a plurality of service provider profiles stored in a data store, wherein each of the plurality of service provider profiles is associated with a service provider having a defined skillset, wherein each of the plurality of service provider profiles identifies a geographic location associated with the service provider;
- and
- a graphical user interface for receiving search parameters, wherein the search parameters identify at least one requested skill and a geographic location parameter;
- and
- wherein the labor marketplace exchange computing system is configured to:
- receive a service query from a service user through an input to the graphical user interface;
- identify to the service user at least one service provider profile from the plurality of service provider profiles, wherein the at least one service provider profile identified is based on the search parameters of the service query, the defined skillset, and the geographic location associated with the service provider;
- responsive to receiving a selection of one of the one or more service providers by the service user, cause a service request to be transmitted to the selected service provider;
- responsive to receiving an acceptance of the service request by the selected service provider, generate a service appointment;
- based on a geographic location of the selected service provider provide the selected service provider with an electronic time clock and a start clock interactive element on an interface displayed on a service provider communications device;
- cause a time clock initiation approval request to be transmitted to a communications device of the service user responsive to receiving a time clock initiation request from the selected service provider based on the selected service provider interacting with the start clock interactive element on the interface displayed on the service provider communications device;
- and
- start the electronic time clock responsive to receiving an approval from the service user, wherein the electronic time clock tracks an amount of time the selected service provider performs the service request.
