Abstract
Methods, apparatuses, and systems for in- or near-memory processing are described. Spiking events in a spiking neural network may be processed via a memory system. A memory system may store a group of destination neurons, and at each time interval in a series of time intervals of a spiking neural network (SNN), pass through a group of pre-synaptic spike events from respective source neurons, wherein the group of pre-synaptic spike events are subsequently stored in memory.
Claims18
A system, comprising:
- memory configured to store a group of destination neurons, the memory including:
- a filter configured to, at each time interval of a number of time intervals, pass through a group of spike events from respective source neurons in response to a determination that the group of spike events have source neuron identifications at least partially matching destination synapse identifications of respective destination neurons;
- and
- a pointer table including a label and configured to increment the label at each time interval of the number of timer intervals.

A method, comprising:
- receiving spike events from respective source neurons;
- filtering a group of the spike events in response to determining that the group of the spike events have source neuron identifications at least partially matching destination synapse identifications of destination neurons in memory;
- and
- incrementing a label to a pointer in a pointer table in the memory that points to the filtered group of the spike events.
1 more element
A system comprising:
- a first memory array configured to store a number of incoming connections of a number of destination neurons;
- a second memory array configured to store a number of pre-synaptic spike events from respective source neurons, wherein each pre-synaptic spike event includes an incoming neuron identification;
- and
- a filter configured to determine a match between the incoming neuron identification of the pre-synaptic spike event and an incoming neuron identification of an incoming connection.
