A text-entry correction system improves autocorrect accuracy by combining typed input with mouth-region visual evidence and, optionally, whisper-level audio evidence. A typed string is processed through an autocorrect or spell-correction pipeline to obtain or generate candidate text strings. Lip-movement evidence captured by an imaging sensor during or in association with text entry is converted into visual speech cues, such as syllable counts, viseme sequences, mouth-shape cues, or learned visual embeddings, and used to compute candidate-specific visual compatibility scores. The system may rerank text-origin candidates, retrieve or inject candidates absent from a standard autocorrect list, operate with any subset of typed, visual, and optional audio channels without explicit mode switching, or generate orthographic proxy strings for submission to an existing spell-correction engine. Fused scores and confidence rules are used to suggest, preview, reorder, or automatically insert correction results while supporting on-device processing, privacy controls, and fallback to text-only correction.
