Centering aid for borescopes

A device for centering a borescope, the device comprising:

• an elongate central body with a passage channel for a borescope line and with a spacer device, the spacer device extending variably in a radial direction over a circumference of the central body, and the spacer device being configured to support the central body in at least two support planes which are mutually spaced apart along the central body and run perpendicularly to a longitudinal direction of the central body,
• wherein the spacer device has at least two sets, which are offset in the longitudinal direction of the central body, of at least three elastically deformable strips distributed over the circumference, wherein each strip of the strips is guided at two guide points spaced apart in the longitudinal direction of the central body, and each strip of the strips is expandable radially outwards by changing a ratio of a distance between the two respective guide points and a length of the respective strip between the two respective guide points,
• wherein the central body is divided into at least two parts comprising a first part and a second part, and
• wherein a distance between the two parts of the central body is changeable via Bowden cables, and at least two individually actuatable Bowden cables are provided, which are distributed over the circumference.
