Temperature sensor

A temperature sensor, comprising

• a body, provided with a channel for channeling a flow of heat-exchanging liquid, the channel having channel walls;
• and
• a sensing assembly, attached to the body and comprising a temperature sensing member and a sensing casing, the sensing casing having a shape of a hollow cuboid having a height in a first direction, a length in a second direction and a width in a third direction, the width being smaller than the height and smaller from the length;
• the hollow cuboid comprising side walls having distal ends joined in a distal periphery and having proximal ends joined in a proximal periphery, the distal periphery being sealed by a cap and the proximal periphery opening to a cavity limited by the side walls and the cap;
• the sensing casing being mounted on the body such that, the second direction being parallel to an axis of the channel and, in a plane perpendicular to the second direction, the first direction pointing from a wall of the channel toward a center of the channel, the cap and a portion of the side walls protrude in the channel;
• the temperature sensing member being arranged in the cavity to sense a temperature of the heat-exchanging liquid through the sensing casing, and a thermal conductivity of the sensing casing being larger than a thermal conductivity of the body.
