Abstract
An anticancer adjuvant for treating anticancer-agent-resistant cancer includes a tristetraprolin inhibitor. If resistance to DNA replication inhibitory anticancer agents is exhibited, a substance for inhibiting the activity of tristetraprolin can be included as an anticancer adjuvant so as to maximize the effects of an anticancer agent, and thus is usable in cancer treatment.
Claims2
A method for enhancing sensitivity of DNA replication inhibitory anticancer-agent-resistant cancer cells, the method comprising contacting the cells with an anticancer adjuvant comprising a tristetraprolin inhibitor,
- wherein the tristetraprolin inhibitor is a siRNA (short interfering RNA) represented by SEQ ID NO:
- 1 or SEQ ID NO:
- 2;
- wherein the DNA replication inhibitory anticancer-agent is cisplatin or hydroxyurea;
- and
- wherein the cancer is lung cancer or colorectal cancer.
