Abstract
Cleaning compositions having engineered fatty acid alpha-dioxygenases and methods of using said compositions to provide a benefit by converting long chain fatty acids present in soils into 2-hydroperoxy fatty acids or terminal aldehydes.
Claims10
An engineered fatty acid alpha-dioxygenase comprising:
- a polypeptide sequence having at least about 98% identity to SEQ ID NO:
- 1;
- wherein said polypeptide sequence comprises at least one amino acid substitution of:
- G74P (SEQ ID NO:
- 6), G200D (SEQ ID NO:
- 11), K248T (SEQ ID NO:
- 14), T344N (SEQ ID NO:
- 16), or mixtures thereof;
- wherein said positions are numbered with reference to SEQ ID NO:
- 1;
- and wherein said engineered fatty acid alpha-dioxygenase catalyzes the conversion a fatty acid that is at least one of:
- stearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid, linolenic acid, or mixtures thereof.
