Printing sheet and method for producing printing sheet

A method for producing a printing sheet, the method comprising

• a step of applying an aqueous acrylic polymer emulsion made by blending clay in a ratio of 35% by mass or more and 65% by mass or less and heavy calcium carbonate having a volume average particle diameter of 0.05 μm or more and 2.00 μm or less in a ratio of 5% by mass or more and 30% by mass or less in a dry mass in a continuous phase made of an acrylic polymer to one surface or both surfaces of a substrate with proviso that an aqueous acrylic polymer emulsion in which zinc pyrithione is blended in a ratio of 0.40% by mass or more and 2.00% by mass or less and/or zinc oxide having a volume average particle diameter of 0.05 μm or more and 2.00 μm or less is blended in a ratio of 0.10% by mass or more and 1.00% by mass or less in the continuous phase when the entire dry mass of the aqueous acrylic polymer emulsion is determined to be 100%, is excluded,
• wherein
• a substrate comprising a polyolefin resin and an inorganic substance powder in a ratio of 50:50 to 10:90 in a mass ratio is molded into a sheet by extrusion;
• and
• after subjecting the sheet to a stretching treatment step, the aqueous acrylic polymer emulsion is applied to one surface or both surfaces of the substrate sheet.
