Fuselage frame

A frame for a fuselage of an aircraft, the frame comprising:

• a primary frame segment;
• and
• a secondary frame segment;
• wherein the primary frame segment comprises a primary arc with two primary end sections, and comprises a primary inner surface and a primary outer surface;
• wherein the secondary frame segment comprises a secondary arc with two secondary end sections, and comprises a secondary inner surface and a secondary outer surface;
• wherein the primary frame segment and the secondary frame segment are configured to be couplable to each other such that their end sections partially overlap so that a portion of the secondary inner surface of the secondary end sections of the secondary frame segment abuts on a portion of the primary outer surface of the primary end sections of the primary frame segment, thereby forming transition areas from the primary frame segment to the secondary frame segment;
• wherein the primary frame segment and the secondary frame segment provide an interspace between them to clamp a fuselage skin between the overlapping portions of the primary frame segment and the secondary frame segment such that the fuselage skin is supported by the primary outer surface of the primary frame segment and by the secondary inner surface of the secondary frame segment.
