Abstract
An image forming system includes an image forming device that ejects ink from a nozzle based on image data and performs image forming processing to form an image on a printing medium, a read image generator that generates a read image from the image on the printing medium, and an inspection device that detects an abnormal image from an inspection image that is the read image of an image to be inspected, and after detecting the abnormal image, based on the read image of the printing medium on which an abnormal nozzle detection image is formed by the image forming device, detects the nozzle in which an abnormality occurs as an abnormal nozzle.
Claims18
An image forming system comprising:
- an image forming device that ejects ink from nozzles based on image data and performs image forming processing to form images on printing media;
- a read image generator that generates read images from the images on the printing media;
- an abnormal image detector that detects an abnormal image from an inspection image that is read from a first printing medium on which the inspection image is formed and no abnormal nozzle detection image is formed;
- and
- an abnormal nozzle detector that detects, after the abnormal image has been detected, a nozzle in which an abnormality occurs as an abnormal nozzle based on an abnormal nozzle detection image read from a second printing medium on which the abnormal nozzle detection image is formed.
An image forming method comprising:
- generating read images from images formed on printing media by an image forming device that ejects ink from nozzles based on image data;
- detecting an abnormal image from an inspection image that is read from a first printing medium on which the inspection image is formed and no abnormal nozzle detection image is formed;
- and
- detecting, after the abnormal image has been detected, a nozzle in which an abnormality occurs as an abnormal nozzle based on an abnormal nozzle detection image read from a second printing medium on which the abnormal nozzle detection image is formed.
A non-transitory computer readable recording medium storing instructions for causing a computer to execute:
- generating read images from images formed on printing media by an image forming device that ejects ink from nozzles based on image data;
- detecting an abnormal image from an inspection image that is read from a first printing medium on which the inspection image is formed and no abnormal nozzle detection image is formed;
- and
- detecting, after the abnormal image has been detected, a nozzle in which an abnormality occurs as an abnormal nozzle based on an abnormal nozzle detection image read from a second printing medium on which the abnormal nozzle detection image is formed.
