Cooperative use of autonomous machines

A system comprising:

• a memory device;
• and
• one or more processing units coupled with the memory device, the one or more processing units are configured to perform a method including:
• analyzing an object to be manipulated by a primary autonomous machine, the analyzing including determining one or more operations to be performed to manipulate the object;
• based on the analyzing, determining whether the primary autonomous machine has a capability to perform the one or more operations;
• based on determining that the primary autonomous machine is not capable of performing the one or more operations, requesting assistance from a secondary autonomous machine, and communicating with a third autonomous machine to request support in physically coupling the primary autonomous machine with the secondary autonomous machine;
• physically coupling the primary autonomous machine with the secondary autonomous machine, wherein the coupling is assisted by the third autonomous machine;
• and
• performing the one or more operations by the primary autonomous machine in cooperation with the secondary autonomous machine.

A non-transitory computer program product comprising a computer-readable memory that has computer-executable instructions stored thereupon, the computer-executable instructions when executed by a processor cause the processor to perform operations comprising:

• analyzing an object to be manipulated by a primary autonomous machine, the analyzing including determining one or more operations to be performed to manipulate the object;
• based on the analyzing, determining whether the primary autonomous machine has a capability to perform the one or more operations;
• based on determining that the primary autonomous machine is not capable of performing the one or more operations, requesting assistance from a secondary autonomous machine, and communicating with a third autonomous machine to request support in physically coupling the primary autonomous machine with the secondary autonomous machine;
• physically coupling the primary autonomous machine with the secondary autonomous machine, wherein the coupling is assisted by the third autonomous machine;
• and
• performing the one or more operations by the primary autonomous machine in cooperation with the secondary autonomous machine.
