Welding clamp

A welding clamp, comprising:

• a plurality of clamping portions;
• the plurality of clamping portions including:
• a first clamping portion having a first clamping surface;
• a second clamping portion having a second clamping surface parallel to and facing the first clamping surface;
• a third clamping portion having a third clamping surface perpendicular to the first clamping surface;
• a fourth clamping portion having a fourth clamping surface parallel to and facing the third clamping surface;
• wherein the first, second, third and fourth clamping surfaces are adapted to form together a perimeter of a four-sided clamping recess, the clamping recess being provided for fitting and clamping a four-sided case of a battery cell;
• each clamping portion including:
• a body portion with a groove, and
• a wear piece detachably connected to the body portion in the groove, such that a rectangular clamping surface of the wear piece forms at least a part of the clamping surface of the clamping portion;
• wherein, a contact layer of one of Teflon, polybenzimidazole, polyamide-imide, polyimide and poly (ether-ether-ketone) is bonded with a bonding layer to the rectangular clamping surface of the wear piece of each clamping portion, such that each of the four sides of a four-sided case of a battery that is fitted and clamped in the four-sided clamping recess is in contact with the contact layer of the wear piece of one of the clamping portions.
