Abstract
The present disclosure provides a method for preventing and/or treating liver fibrosis by using 6-methoxybenzoxazolinone and a Coix lachryma-jobi L. extract including 6-methoxybenzoxazolinone of the following structural formula: The 6-methoxybenzoxazolinone and the Coix lachryma-jobi L. extract including 6-methoxybenzoxazolinone of the present disclosure achieve the effect of preventing and/or treating liver fibrosis through various efficacy experiments.

A method for treating liver fibrosis in a subject, wherein the method comprises administering to the subject in need thereof a pharmaceutical composition comprising a pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, carrier, or adjuvant, or a combination thereof, and a therapeutically effective amount of 6-methoxybenzoxazolinone (6-MBOA) of the following structural formula:
