Abstract
A prosthetic spacer assembly includes a spacer, a first anchor, and a second anchor. The first anchor and the second anchor are each connected to the spacer. The first anchor curves around the spacer when viewed from an upstream end. The second anchor curves around the spacer when viewed from the upstream end.
Claims20
A spacer assembly comprising:
- a spacer;
- a first ventricular anchor connected to the spacer;
- a first atrial anchor coupled to the first ventricular anchor;
- wherein the first atrial anchor is made from a resilient material such that the first atrial anchor is configured to contact the first ventricular anchor when the first atrial anchor is unconstrained;
- wherein the first ventricular anchor curves around the spacer when viewed from an upstream end;
- a second ventricular anchor connected to the spacer;
- a second atrial anchor coupled to the second ventricular anchor;
- wherein the second atrial anchor is made from a resilient material such that the second atrial anchor is configured to contact the second ventricular anchor when the second atrial anchor is unconstrained;
- and
- wherein the second ventricular anchor curves around the spacer when viewed from the upstream end.

A spacer assembly comprising:
- an expandable spacer body;
- a first ventricular anchor connected to the expandable spacer body;
- a first atrial anchor coupled to the first ventricular anchor;
- wherein the first atrial anchor is made from a resilient material such that the first atrial anchor is configured to contact the first ventricular anchor when the first atrial anchor is unconstrained;
- wherein the first ventricular anchor curves around the expandable spacer body when the expandable spacer body is expanded and viewed from an upstream end;
- a second ventricular anchor connected to the expandable spacer body;
- a second atrial anchor coupled to the second ventricular anchor;
- wherein the second atrial anchor is made from a resilient material such that the second atrial anchor is configured to contact the second ventricular anchor when the second atrial anchor is unconstrained;
- and
- wherein the second ventricular anchor curves around the expandable spacer body when the expandable spacer body is expanded and viewed from the upstream end.

A system comprising:
- a delivery system comprising:
- a sheath;
- a shaft disposed in the sheath;
- a spacer assembly coupled to the shaft, the spacer assembly comprising:
- a spacer;
- a first ventricular anchor connected to the spacer;
- a first atrial anchor coupled to the first ventricular anchor;
- wherein the first atrial anchor is made from a resilient material such that the first atrial anchor is configured to contact the first ventricular anchor when the first atrial anchor is unconstrained by the delivery system;
- wherein the first ventricular anchor curves around the spacer when viewed from an upstream end;
- a second ventricular anchor connected to the spacer;
- a second atrial anchor coupled to the second ventricular anchor;
- wherein the second atrial anchor is made from a resilient material such that the second atrial anchor is configured to contact the second ventricular anchor when the second atrial anchor is unconstrained by the delivery system;
- and
- wherein the second ventricular anchor curves around the spacer when viewed from the upstream end.
