Connecting structures and surgical robot

A surgical robot, comprising an instrument drive, a sterile adapter engageable with the instrument drive, wherein

• the instrument drive is provided with a plurality of first engaging members on a first matching surface of the instrument drive;
• and
• the sterile adapter is movable in a first direction to engage with the instrument drive, the sterile adapter includes an adapter body having a second matching surface facing the first matching surface and perpendicular to the first direction, and a connecting assembly movably disposed on the adapter body of the sterile adapter and configured to connect the adapter body to the instrument drive, the connecting assembly including a plurality of second engaging members operable to engage with the plurality of first engaging members, a respective second engaging member of the plurality of second engaging members being moveable-translationally relative to the adapter body between an engagement position where the respective second engaging member is engageable with a corresponding first engaging member of the plurality of first engaging members and a detachment position where the respective second engaging member is detachable from the corresponding first engaging member, and each of the plurality of second engaging members having a moving path parallel to the second matching surface.
