Abstract
A method for combined PET/MR imaging performs a PET/MR scan using a PET/MR scanner. During the scan a frame is reconstructed and co-registered with a reference frame. The reference frame is dynamically updated throughout the PET/MR scan by incorporating most recently co-registered images from previously reconstructed frames.
Claims4
A method for combined PET/MR imaging to correct for evolving tracer distribution during a scan, the method comprising:
- performing a dynamic PET/MR scan using a PET/MR scanner, wherein performing the dynamic PET/MR scan comprises:
- a) iteratively reconstructing a plurality of frames frame and co-registering each the frame of the plurality of frames with a reference frame;
- and
- b) after each frame is co-registered, adaptively regenerating and dynamically updating the reference frame by incorporating multiple most recently co-registered images from previously reconstructed frames in the plurality of reconstructed frames.
