Abstract
An inhibitor of cell death induced by transient protein expression in a plant, the inhibitor including, as an active ingredient, ascorbic acid or a derivative thereof, a salt thereof, or a solvate thereof, can advantageously inhibit cell death induced by transient protein expression in a plant.
Claims3
A method for inhibiting cell death induced by transient protein expression in a plant of the genus Nicotiana, the method comprising the step of:
- administering ascorbic acid, a salt thereof, or a solvate thereof to the plant of the genus Nicotiana, in which a target protein is transiently expressed, wherein
- a solution or a suspension of an initial concentration from 100 to 300 mM of the ascorbic acid, the salt thereof, or the solvate thereof is brought into contact with the plant of the genus Nicotiana.
A method for inhibiting cell death in a plant of the genus Nicotiana, the method comprising the step of:
- administering ascorbic acid, a salt thereof, or a solvate thereof to the plant of the genus Nicotiana in which a target protein is transiently expressed, wherein p1 the ascorbic acid, a salt thereof, or a solvate thereof is added to an Agrobacterium suspension for introducing an expression vector of the target protein to be administered to the plant of the genus Nicotiana, or to a culture solution for hydrocultivating the plant of the genus Nicotiana, and
- the ascorbic acid, the salt thereof, or the solvate thereof is brought into contact with the plant of the genus Nicotiana at a final concentration of 25 to 80 mM.
