Abstract
Embodiments herein provide a method for managing a priority of Visited Public Land Mobile Networks (VPLMNs) of a wireless communication network. The method includes receiving a registration accept message including steering of roaming (SoR) information from a VPLMN; in response to a security check of the SoR information being failed, adding the VPLMN to a SoR abort list including PLMNs where a registration was aborted due to SoR; and deleting the SoR abort list after a predetermined time period.
Claims18
A method for managing a priority of visited public land mobile networks (VPLMNs) of a wireless communication network by a user equipment (UE), the method comprising:
- receiving a registration accept message including steering of roaming (SoR) information from an access and mobility management function (AMF) of a VPLMN;
- based on a security check of the SoR information being failed, adding the VPLMN to a list of public land mobile networks (PLMNs) where a registration was aborted due to SoR;
- and
- deleting the list after a predetermined time period.
A user equipment (UE) for managing a priority of visited public land mobile networks (VPLMNs) of a wireless communication network, the UE comprising:
- a transceiver;
- and
- a processor coupled to the transceiver, wherein the processor is configured to:
- receive a registration accept message including steering of roaming (SoR) information from an access and mobility management function (AMF) of a VPLMN,
- based on a security check of the SoR information being failed, add the VPLMN to a list of public land mobile networks (PLMNs) where a registration was aborted due to SoR, and
- delete the list after a predetermined time period.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing instructions which, when executed by a processor of a user equipment (UE), causes the UE to perform operations, the operations comprising:
- receiving a registration accept message including steering of roaming (SoR) information from an access and mobility management function (AMF) of a visited public land mobile network (VPLMN);
- based on a security check of the SoR information being failed, adding the VPLMN to a list of public land mobile networks (PLMNs) where a registration was aborted due to SoR;
- and
- deleting the list after a predetermined time period.
