Abstract
A data packet sending method includes determining a data packet set corresponding to each network device in a plurality of network devices, where the data packet set includes one or more data packets that need to be used by the corresponding network device, and data packet sets are not the same; generating a plurality of correspondences based on the data packet sets of the plurality of network devices, where the correspondence is a correspondence between a data packet group and a network device group, the network device group includes one or more network devices, and the data packet group includes data packets that need to be used by all network devices in the network device group; and sending the corresponding data packet group to the network devices in the network device group based on the correspondence.
Claims20
A method, implemented by a control device, the method comprising:
- determining update requirements for each network device of a plurality of network devices, wherein the network device is a router, a switch, or a device that implements a virtual router or a virtual switch, and wherein the update requirements comprise at least one of updating a software version of a currently installed software, patching the currently installed software, or installing a new software application on the network device;
- determining update data packets corresponding to the update requirements for each network device;
- grouping the update data packets into data packet sets, wherein different data packet sets comprise different update data packets for performing different updates;
- grouping network devices in the plurality of network devices into network device groups based on the update requirements for each network device, wherein each network device in a network device group requires a same update;
- generating a plurality of correspondences between the data packet sets and the network device groups based on the update requirements of each network device group and the different updates associated with each data packet set;
- and
- sending, based on a first correspondence of the plurality of correspondences, a first data packet set of the data packet sets to a first network device group of the network device groups.
A control device comprising:
- one or more memories configured to store instructions;
- one or more processors coupled to the one or more memories and configured to execute the instructions to cause the control device to:
- determine update requirements for each network device of a plurality of network devices, wherein the network device is a router, a switch, or a device that implements a virtual router or a virtual switch, and wherein the update requirements comprise at least one of updating a software version of a currently installed software, patching the currently installed software, or installing a new software application on the network device;
- determine update data packets corresponding to the update requirements for each network device;
- group the update data packets into data packet sets, wherein different data packet sets comprise different update data packets for performing different updates;
- group network devices in the plurality of network devices into network device groups based on the update requirements for each network device, wherein each network device in a network device group requires a same update;
- generate a plurality of correspondences between the data packet sets and the network device groups based on the update requirements of each network device group and the different updates associated with each data packet set;
- and
- send, based on a first correspondence of the plurality of correspondences, a first data packet set of the data packet sets to a first network device group of the network device groups.
A computer program product comprising computer-executable instructions that are stored on a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium and that, when executed by one or more processors of an apparatus, cause the apparatus to:
- determine update requirements for each network device of a plurality of network devices, wherein the network device is a router, a switch, or a device that implements a virtual router or a virtual switch, and wherein the update requirements comprise at least one of updating a software version of a currently installed software, patching the currently installed software, or installing a new software application on the network device;
- determine update data packets corresponding to the update requirements for each network device;
- group the update data packets into data packet sets, wherein different data packet sets comprise different update data packets for performing different updates;
- group network devices in the plurality of network devices into network device groups based on the update requirements for each network device, wherein each network device in a network device group requires a same update;
- generate a plurality of correspondences between the data packet sets and the network device groups based on the update requirements of each network device group and the different updates associated with each data packet set;
- and
- send, based on a first correspondence of the plurality of correspondences, a first data packet set of the data packet sets to a first network device group of the network device groups.
