Abstract
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may select, based at least in part on antenna isolation information for the UE, a pair of antennas from among at least three antennas available for transmission on the UE. The UE may transmit a communication using the pair of antennas. Numerous other aspects are described.
Claims20
An apparatus for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- one or more memories;
- and
- one or more processors, coupled to the one or more memories, individually or collectively configured to cause the UE to:
- determine antenna isolation information corresponding to at least three antennas available for transmission on the UE, wherein the antenna isolation information includes an amount of mutual isolation between two antennas for different combinations of two antennas from among the at least three antennas, and wherein the amount of mutual isolation is determined based at least in part on a received automatic gain control (AGC) or a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) referred to an antenna of the at least three antennas;
- select, based at least in part on the antenna isolation information for the UE, a pair of antennas from among the at least three antennas available for transmission on the UE;
- and
- transmit a communication using the pair of antennas.
A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- determining antenna isolation information corresponding to at least three antennas available for transmission on the UE, wherein the antenna isolation information includes an amount of mutual isolation between two antennas for different combinations of two antennas from among the at least three antennas, and wherein the amount of mutual isolation is determined based at least in part on a received automatic gain control (AGC) or a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) referred to an antenna of the at least three antennas;
- selecting, based at least in part on the antenna isolation information for the UE, a pair of antennas from among the at least three antennas available for transmission on the UE;
- and
- transmitting a communication using the pair of antennas.
An apparatus for wireless communication, comprising:
- means for determining antenna isolation information corresponding to at least three antennas available for transmission on the apparatus, wherein the antenna isolation information includes an amount of mutual isolation between two antennas for different combinations of two antennas from among the at least three antennas, and wherein the amount of mutual isolation is determined based at least in part on a received automatic gain control (AGC) or a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) referred to an antenna of the at least three antennas;
- means for selecting, based at least in part on the antenna isolation information for the apparatus, a pair of antennas from among the at least three antennas available for transmission on the apparatus;
- and
- means for transmitting a communication using the pair of antennas.
