Abstract
A wireless communication method includes receiving, by a wireless communication device from a network, at least one port parameter, determining, by the wireless communication device, at least one uplink codebook parameter, and determining, by the wireless communication device, a precoder for an uplink transmission based on the at least one uplink codebook parameter and the at least one port parameter.
Claims16
A wireless communication method, comprising:
- receiving, by a wireless communication device from a network, at least one port parameter;
- determining, by the wireless communication device, at least one uplink codebook parameter comprising at least one set of parameters for codebook selection, wherein the set of parameters for codebook selection comprises one or more of a rank value or a Transmitted Precoding Matrix Indicator (TPMI), wherein each of the at least one set of parameters for codebook selection corresponds to a respective port group;
- and
- determining, by the wireless communication device, a precoder for an uplink transmission based on the at least one uplink codebook parameter and the at least one port parameter, comprising combining codebooks selected using the at least one set of parameters for codebook selection into the precoder, wherein each of the codebooks corresponds to the respective port group, and wherein the precoder for the uplink transmission is determined according to a block diagonal matrix comprising precoding matrices each selected from a respective codebook as a respective block element.

A wireless communication method, comprising:
- sending, by a network to a wireless communication device, at least one port parameter;
- sending, by the network to the wireless communication device, at least one uplink codebook parameter comprising at least one set of parameters for codebook selection, wherein the set of parameters for codebook selection comprises one or more of a rank value or a Transmitted Precoding Matrix Indicator (TPMI), wherein each of the at least one set of parameters for codebook selection corresponds to a respective port group;
- and
- receiving, by the network from the wireless communication device, an uplink transmission, wherein the uplink transmission is transmitted by the wireless communication based on a precoder determined according to the at least one port parameter and the at least one uplink codebook parameter, wherein the precoder is combined using codebooks selected using the at least one set of parameters for codebook set selection into the precoder, wherein each of the codebooks corresponds to the respective port group, and wherein the precoder for the uplink transmission is determined according to a block diagonal matrix comprising precoding matrices each selected from a respective codebook as a respective block element.
