Abstract
A tangent clamp includes a body to be supported by a structure and to permit cables to proceed along a tangential direction relative to the structure. The tangent clamp may include at least one actuatable clamping portion associated with the body to support a respective one of the cables. The body is configured to permit at least one additional actuatable clamping portion to be provided upon the body. The tangent clamp may include a plurality of separately actuatable clamping portions associated with the body. The body may be provided as multiple portions. The multiple portions are relatively movable to permit the body to be mounted upon the structure.
Claims20
A tangent clamp comprising:
- a single, monolith piece body to be supported by a structure and to permit cables to proceed along a tangential direction relative to the structure, the body having a plurality of hemicylindrical trough shapes each to engage, grip, and support a respective one of the cables;
- and
- a plurality of separately actuatable clamping portions associated with the body, with each of the separately actuatable clamping portions having a single mating hemicylindrical trough shape to engage, grip, and support the respective one of the cables, and each of the separately actuatable clamping portions being configured to operate for optionally retaining or releasing the respective one of the cables;
- wherein at least some of the plurality of separately actuatable clamping portions are immediately adjacent to each other and arranged in a linear sequential row.
A tangent clamp comprising:
- a single, monolith piece body to be supported by a structure and to permit cables to proceed along a tangential direction relative to the structure, the body having a plurality of segments each to grip and retain a respective one of the cables;
- and
- at least one clamping portion associated with the body, with each of the at least one clamping portion being separately actuatable and having a segment to grip and retain the respective one of the cables while in a respective actuated condition and release the respective one of the cables while not in the respective actuated condition, wherein
- at least some clamping portions are immediately adjacent to each other and arranged in a linear sequential row.
A tangent clamp comprising:
- a single, monolith piece body to be supported by a structure and to permit cables to proceed along a tangential direction relative to the structure;
- and
- a plurality of separately actuatable clamping portions, each having a single hemicylindrical trough shape, associated with the body to engage, grip, and support a respective one of the cables, wherein at least some of the plurality of separately actuatable clamping portions are immediately adjacent to each other and arranged in a linear sequential row, with the body configured to permit at least one additional actuatable clamping portion to be provided upon the body, and each separately actuatable clamping portion being configured to operate for optionally retaining or releasing the respective one of the cables.
