Abstract
The present disclosure describes example systems, methods, and computer-readable medium for dynamic meal planning. A meal planning system can include one or more processors configured to obtain exercise data, meal data, health data, user preference data, and/or other data; determine a health score based at least in part on the exercise data and/or the meal data; generate a user-specific meal kit based at least in part on the exercise data, the meal data, the health data, the user preference data, the other data and/or the health score; and communicate an indication of the user-specific meal kit.
Claims13
A system for dynamic meal planning, the system comprising:
- a plurality of sensors configured to measure a plurality of physiological data, the sensors including at least an accelerometer, a gyroscope, an altimeter, a pulse rate sensor, and a thermistor;
- a user device;
- a smart food tray comprising one or more scales configured to measure a weight of a user's food and one or more cameras configured to image the user's food;
- and
- one or more processors configured to:
- receive a signal from the smart food tray, the signal indicative of the weight of the food the user consumes and indicative of the imaging by the one or more cameras;
- determine a type and quantity of food consumed based at least in part on the imaging by the one or more cameras and the weight measured by the one or more scales;
- receive sensor information from the plurality of sensors, determine an activity type based on the sensor information, determine a metabolic equivalent task (MET) for the activity type and determine activity data based at least in part on the activity type, duration, intensity, and the MET;
- determine a health score based at least in part on the activity data and the type and quantity of food consumed, and adjusting the health score based on nutrients consumed as determined by the determined type of food;
- communicate, to the user device, a prospective health score based on a plurality of prospective food options in order to promote consumption of healthy foods;
- dynamically adjusting, in real time, contents of an individualized meal kit based on the determined type of food.
A method for dynamic meal planning, the method comprising:
- receiving by one or more processors a signal from a smart food tray comprising one or more scales configured to measure a weight of a user's food and one or more cameras configured to image the user's food, the signal indicative of the weight of the food the user consumes and indicative of the imaging by the one or more cameras;
- determining a type and quantity of food consumed based at least in part on the imaging by the one or more cameras and the weight of the food from the one or more scales;
- receiving sensor information from a plurality of sensors, determine an activity type based on the sensor information, determine a metabolic equivalent task (MET) for the activity type and determine activity data based at least in part on the activity type, duration, intensity, and the MET, the sensors including at least an accelerometer, a gyroscope, an altimeter, a pulse rate sensor, and a thermistor;
- determining a health score based at least in part on the activity data and the type and quantity of food consumed, and adjusting the health score based on nutrients consumed as determined by the determined type of food;
- communicating, to a user device, a prospective health score based on a plurality of prospective food options in order to promote consumption of healthy foods;
- dynamically adjusting, in real time, contents of an individualized meal kit based on the determined type of food.
