Abstract
The magnetic recording medium includes a silicon-containing compound having a partial structure represented by Formula 1 (hereinafter, also simply referred to as a “silicon-containing compound”) in a portion on a non-magnetic support on a magnetic layer side. In Formula 1, R11, R12, and R13 each independently represent a monovalent substituent, L11 represents an (n+1)-valent linking group, n represents an integer of 2 or more, and * represents a position at which the partial structure represented by Formula 1 is bonded to another partial structure constituting the silicon-containing compound.
Claims19
A magnetic recording medium comprising:
- a non-magnetic support;
- and
- a magnetic layer containing a ferromagnetic powder,
- wherein a silicon-containing compound having a partial structure represented by Formula 1 is included in a portion on the non-magnetic support on a magnetic layer side,
- in Formula 1, R11, R12, and R13 each independently represent a monovalent substituent, L11 represents an (n+1)-valent linking group, n represents an integer of 2 or more, and * represents a position at which the partial structure represented by Formula 1 is bonded to another partial structure constituting the silicon-containing compound:
- wherein the silicon-containing compound is a polymer having a constitutional unit represented by Formula 2 below,
- in Formula 2, R21 and R22 each independently represent a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, R23 represents a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent, L12 represents a single bond or a divalent linking group, * represents a position at which the constitutional unit represented by Formula 2 is bonded to another partial structure constituting the silicon-containing compound, and R11, R12, R13, L11, and n are respectively synonymous with R11, R12, R13, L11, and n in Formula 1
- wherein the polymer having a constitutional unit represented by Formula 2 comprises one or more functional groups selected from the following group 1 in a constitutional unit other than the constitutional unit represented by Formula 2, and the group 1 consists of a carboxy group, an amino group, a hydroxy group, a sulfo group, a phosphonoxy group, and salts thereof, an alkyl group, a glycol structure, an ester structure, an amide structure, an anionic structure, and an amphoteric structure.
