Security system application

A computing system comprising a memory and at least one processor coupled with the memory, the at least one processor configured to:

• render, via a touchscreen, an image captured by a device, the image including at least a portion of an observed person at a location under surveillance by a system that includes the device;
• render, via the touchscreen, a plurality of profile images, individual profile images of the plurality of profile images representing a previously defined profile of one of a plurality of recognized people authorized to be present at the location;
• receive, via the touchscreen, input that associates the image captured by the device with a selected one of the previously defined profiles, the selected profile defined for a particular one of the plurality of recognized people authorized to be present at the location;
• apply, in response to the input, a setting that defines how the system responds to detection of one of the plurality of recognized people authorized to be present at the location, wherein the setting specifies that the system will withhold remote notification of the detection to a remote monitoring interface that forms part of the system;
• and
• render, via the touchscreen, a save profile screen that includes:
• a first control configured to receive an identifier of the particular one of the plurality of recognized people authorized to be present at the location;
• a listing of one or more images associated with the selected profile, the listing including the image captured by the device;
• and
• a second control configured to receive the input that associates the image captured by the device with the selected profile.

One or more non-transitory computer readable media storing sequences of instructions executable by at least one processor to:

• render, via a touchscreen, an image captured by a device, the image including at least a portion of an observed person at a location under surveillance by a system that includes the device;
• render, via the touchscreen, a plurality of profile images, individual profile images of the plurality of profile images representing a previously defined profile of one of a plurality of recognized people authorized to be present at the location;
• receive, via the touchscreen, input that associates the image captured by the device with a selected one of the previously defined profiles, the selected profile defined for a particular one of the plurality of recognized people authorized to be present at the location;
• apply, in response to the input, a setting that defines how the system responds to detection of one of the plurality of recognized people authorized to be present at the location, wherein the setting specifies that the system will withhold remote notification of the detection to a remote monitoring interface that forms part of the system;
• and
• render, via the touchscreen, a save profile screen that includes:
• a first control configured to receive an identifier of the particular one of the plurality of recognized people authorized to be present at the location;
• a listing of one or more images associated with the selected profile, the listing including the image captured by the device;
• and
• a second control configured to receive the input that associates the image captured by the device with the selected profile.
