Abstract
Responsive to a restriction placement event occurring in association with a debit card operable to access funds maintained in a first gaming establishment account, and a restriction being placed on the debit card, systems and methods place a restrictions on the first gaming establishment account, and communicate data associated with the placed restriction. Responsive to a first component that maintains a second gaming establishment account receiving the data, the first component determines whether to place the restriction on the second gaming establishment account.
Claims20
A system comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by the processor responsive to a restriction placement event occurring in association with a debit card operable to access funds maintained in a first gaming establishment account, and a restriction being placed on the debit card, cause the processor to:
- place a restriction on the first gaming establishment account, wherein the restriction remains in place for at least one subsequent transaction requested against the first gaming establishment account, and
- communicate data associated with the placed restriction, wherein responsive to a first component that maintains a second gaming establishment account receiving the data, the first component determines whether to place the restriction on the second gaming establishment account.
A system comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory device that stores a plurality of instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to:
- responsive to a restriction being placed on a debit card operable to access funds maintained in a cashless wagering account:
- place a restriction on the cashless wagering account, wherein the restriction remains in place for at least one debit card initiated purchase transaction against the cashless wagering account, and
- communicate data associated with the placed restriction to a component of an event system that publishes the data associated with the placed restriction for another component that maintains another gaming establishment account to receive and apply the restriction to that other gaming establishment account, and
- responsive to no restriction being placed on the debit card associated with the cashless wagering account, enable the debit card to initiate a purchase transaction at a point-of-sale terminal.
A method of operating a system, the method comprising:
- responsive to a restriction placement event occurring in association with a debit card operable to access funds maintained in a first gaming establishment account, and a restriction being placed on the debit card:
- placing, by a processor, a restriction on the first gaming establishment account, wherein the restriction remains in place for at least one subsequent transaction requested against the first gaming establishment account, and
- communicating data associated with the placed restriction, wherein responsive to a first component that maintains a second gaming establishment account receiving the data, the first component determines whether to place the restriction on the second gaming establishment account.
