Abstract
A control system for arranging a transport of a package to a recipient in a building provided with an elevator system is described, the control system is configured to: determine an access right of a mobile robot carrying the package in response to a receipt of an access request descriptive of requesting an access of the mobile robot to the building; arrange an elevator service to the mobile robot in response to a detection that the mobile robot is provided with the access; and manage a delivery of the package to the recipient in response to a detection that the mobile robot resides in a predefined location with respect to the recipient in the building. A method and a computer program are also provided.
Claims21
A control system for arranging a transport of a package to a recipient in a building provided with an elevator system, the control system is configured to:
- determine an access right of a mobile robot carrying the package in response to a receipt of an access request descriptive of requesting an access of the mobile robot to the building,
- arrange an elevator service to the mobile robot in response to a detection that the mobile robot is provided with the access to the building, and
- manage a delivery of the package to the recipient in response to a detection that the mobile robot resides in predefined location with respect to the recipient in the building,
- wherein the control system is configured to determine the access right based on data identifying the recipient of the package by performing a comparison of the data identifying the recipient of the package with reference data defining persons in the building stored in the control system.
A method, performed by a control system, for arranging a transport of a package to a recipient in a building provided with an elevator system, the method comprises:
- determining an access right of a mobile robot carrying the package in response to a receipt of an access request descriptive of requesting an access of the mobile robot to the building,
- arranging an elevator service to the mobile robot in response to a detection that the mobile robot is provided with the access to the building, and
- managing a delivery of the package to the recipient in response to a detection that the mobile robot resides in predefined location with respect to the recipient in the building,
- wherein the step of determining comprises determining the access right based on data identifying the recipient of the package by performing a comparison of the data identifying the recipient of the package with reference data defining persons in the building stored in the control system.
