An information processing apparatus, comprising:

• a first sending module, configured to send outputted page quantity messages respectively corresponding to n job types and first consumption messages of the recording material respectively corresponding to the n job types to the image-forming apparatus, wherein:
• the outputted page quantity messages are the cumulative outputted page quantity messages respectively corresponding to the n job types updated after current job output is completed;
• the first consumption messages are configured to determine the consumption amount message of the recording material consumed by the outputted page quantity of corresponding job types;
• and
• the outputted page quantity messages respectively corresponding to the n job types and the first consumption messages of the recording material respectively corresponding to the n job types are configured to determine a total consumption message of the recording material in a consumable;
• n is an integer greater than 1;
• single-job outputted page quantities respectively corresponding to the n job types are different;
• and the n job types are categorized based on number of pages outputted single job.
