Cartridge and image forming apparatus to convey toner using air

A cartridge comprising:

• a first container provided with a container opening communicating with outside of the cartridge;
• a filter constituting a first chamber together with the first container, the filter being configured to prevent passage of toner and permit passing of air;
• a second container constituting a second chamber for housing toner together with the filter;
• and
• a pipe provided with a first pipe opening that faces a predetermined region of the filter with a gap therebetween and that opens toward the predetermined region of the filter and a second pipe opening communicating with the outside of the cartridge, the pipe extending from the first pipe opening to the second pipe opening,
• wherein the filter includes a partition between the first chamber and the second chamber,
• wherein, with a direction in which the first container and the second container align defined as a first direction, a longitudinal direction of the second container intersecting the first direction on a cross-section perpendicular to the first direction defined as a second direction, and a short direction of the second container intersecting both the first direction and the second direction defined as a third direction, in a case where the cartridge is oriented in a predetermined direction in which the first direction is parallel to a direction of gravity and the second chamber is above the first chamber,
• the partition of the filter is inclined such that, when viewed in the third direction, the partition extends in the direction of gravity toward the predetermined region of the filter as the partition extends toward the predetermined region in the second direction, and
• the partition of the filter extends in the third direction over an entire region of the partition in the third direction,
• wherein the pipe includes a first pipe section provided with the first pipe opening and extending in the first direction and a second pipe section provided with the second pipe opening and extending in the third direction.
