A measuring arrangement is provided for non-destructive interferometric measurement of an object surface. Light reflected from the surface enters the measuring arrangement as an incoming beam and passes through a diaphragm having an aperture, causing diffraction. The diffracted beam is directed to a mirror arrangement having two mirrors that split and deflect the beam into two partial beams. One of the mirrors is rotatable relative to the other. The partial beams are directed through a camera lens and combined at a camera to form an interference pattern for surface measurement. The camera includes an image sensor having a local sampling frequency. The diffraction produced by the diaphragm limits the spatial frequency of the interference pattern to a value that does not exceed a maximum local sampling frequency of the image sensor of the camera.
