A therapeutic composition comprising an isolated and mature ulinastatin polypeptide and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein the isolated and mature ulinastatin polypeptide comprises (i) SEQ ID NO:
- 2, (ii) an N-linked glycan at residue N45 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2, and (iii) an O-linked glycan at residue T17 of SEQ ID NO:
- 2.
