Filtering shower assembly system

A shower filter system, comprising:

• a filter assembly including:
• a filter including:
• a filter housing and
• a filter cartridge disposed within the filter housing, the filter cartridge being configured to filter water passed therethrough;
• an elongate inlet pipe configured to deliver water to a water dispersing arrangement via an inlet pipe channel extending therethrough from an upstream portion to a downstream portion, and being fluidically connected to the water dispersing arrangement;
• and
• a connector including:
• a spout attached to a side of the elongate inlet pipe and having a protrusion, a spout outlet channel fluidically couplable to an upstream portion of the inlet pipe channel and a spout inlet channel fluidically couplable to the downstream portion of the inlet pipe channel;
• and
• a receptacle fluidically attachable to the filter, the receptacle being sized and shaped to rotatably receive the spout, and including a receptacle inlet channel, a receptacle outlet channel, and a protrusion cavity sized and shaped to receive protrusion and to guide the receptacle onto the spout;
• wherein the filter is rotatably movable relative to the inlet pipe via relative rotation of the spout and the receptacle, between two modes of operation:
• an active configuration, where the receptacle inlet channel is in fluid communication with the spout outlet channel and the receptacle outlet channel is in fluid communication with the spout inlet channel, water from the upstream portion of the elongate inlet pipe channel passes through the spout outlet channel, through the receptacle inlet channel, through the filter cartridge, through the receptacle outlet channel, through the spout inlet channel and into the downstream portion of the inlet pipe channel, and
• a bypass configuration, where water from the upstream portion of the inlet pipe channel passes into a bypass channel to exit the filter assembly without passing through the filter cartridge.
