Abstract
[Problems] Provided is a discoloring body which is discolored by application of water and has high glossiness and is excellent in applicability to various fields such as a toy field, a decoration field, and a design field. [Solution] A discoloring body including a supporting body, a porous layer in which a low refractive index pigment is fixed in a dispersed state by way of a binder resin, and a glossy resin layer, in which an occupancy area ratio of the glossy resin layer is 1% to 95% with respect to a 1 cm square at any position in the porous layer.
Claims8
A method for producing a discoloring body, the discoloring body comprising:
- a supporting body;
- a porous layer capable of reversibly changing color upon contact with water, wherein the porous layer has a low refractive index pigment fixed in a dispersed state by way of a binder resin;
- and
- a glossy resin layer formed above the porous layer, wherein the glossy layer is a brilliant resin layer having optical properties selected from the group consisting of:
- metallic glossiness, irisiness holographic properties, and pearl glossiness, the method comprising:
- obtaining a transfer sheet by applying a brilliant resin on a base material having releasability,
- placing the transfer sheet on the porous layer formed on the supporting body,
- thermocompression bonding the porous layer and the transfer sheet, and
- forming the glossy resin layer from the brilliant resin on the supporting body so that an occupancy area ratio of the glossy resin layer is 1% to 95% with respect to a 1 mm square at any position in the porous layer.
