Gas cutting method for cutting steel material and steel material producing method

A gas cutting method for cutting a steel material, the gas cutting method comprising:

• arranging a first steel material with at least one second steel material in proximity, wherein a space between the first steel material and the at least one second steel material is 3 mm or less;
• preheating the first steel material by applying a preheating flame to a preheating region of the first steel material, the preheating region being separate from the at least one second steel material;
• and
• gas-cutting the first steel material by moving a cutting torch ejecting high-pressure oxygen from the preheating region, without stopping the high-pressure oxygen at a boundary between the first steel material and the at least one second steel material, and stopping moving the high-pressure oxygen when the high-pressure oxygen enters the at least one second steel material,
• wherein the gas-cutting of the first steel material stops at the boundary between the first steel material and the at least one second steel material and does not advance to the at least one second steel material.
