Abstract
Disclosed are oral liquid compositions comprising potassium chloride, glycerin, sodium benzoate, buffer, and water. The compositions are aqueous, free of alcohol and parabens, and exhibit enhanced stability with no visible formation of precipitates after temperature cycling and light exposure. The compositions are useful for the treatment of hypokalemia in patients with or without metabolic alkalosis.
