This application discloses methods and pharmaceutical compositions (e.g., oral, parenteral or topical ophthalmic formulations) for treating Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy (FECD).

A method for inhibiting or treating Fuchs endothelial corneal dystrophy (FECD) in a subject, the method comprising administering to the subject a therapeutically effective dose of a cytochrome P450 enzyme inhibitor, wherein the cytochrome P450 enzyme inhibitor is trans-2, 3′, 4, 5′-tetramethoxystilbene.
