Abstract
The present invention relates to a technological platform for the delivery of lipophilic active ingredients.
Claims18
A process for preparing a nanostructured suspension of palmitoylethanolamide (PEA), comprising the steps of:
- 1) dissolving said PEA in a water-miscible solvent in the presence of squalene and a first surfactant having HLB<10;
- 2) dripping the solution thus obtained in an aqueous phase in the presence of a second surfactant having HLB>10, wherein said PEA is a compound of the class of endocannabinoids, said first and said second surfactant are not surfactants having a steroidal structure;
- thereby obtaining a suspension comprising nanoparticles made of PEA not having a carrier.
A nanostructured suspension obtained with a process for preparing a nanostructured suspension of palmitoylethanolamide (PEA), comprising the steps of
- 1) Dissolving PEA in a water-miscible solvent in the presence of squalene and a first surfactant having HLB<10;
- and
- 2) dripping the solution thus obtained in a aqueous phase in the presence of a second surfactant having HLB>10,
- thereby obtaining a suspension comprising nanoparticles made of PEA not having a carrier.
