Abstract
Compositions and methods for the synthesis of polymer foam materials, wherein the polymer foam materials include expandable polymers, which can be applied to many dental applications, such as for example but not limited to one or more of a filler, a sealer, a filling, and a root canal. The expandable polymers can include a cross linkable material that expands upon crosslinking.

A composition, comprising:
- a polymer foam material including a compound of Formula [A]:
- wherein:
- m is 1 to 100 million, and
- n is 2 to 100 million;
- a radiopaque material,
- wherein the radiopaque material excludes barium sulfate and comprises at least one of platinum, tungsten, platinum-iridium, tantalum, bismuth oxychloride, or bismuth trioxide;
- and
- a biostable material,
- wherein the biostable material comprises at least one biostable metal oxide.
