Abstract
Some embodiments described herein include a patient positioning system configured to orient a patient comfortably in a prone position for an extended period of time during a medical procedure, such as a kyphoplasty procedure.
Claims19
A patient positioning system comprising:
- a mat comprising:
- a body portion configured to support at least a portion of a patient's body in a prone position;
- a head portion coupled to the body portion, the head portion comprising:
- a headrest configured to support a patient's head;
- and
- two adjustable support legs coupled to opposite lateral sides of the headrest, the two support legs are configured to fold inwards towards a bottom surface and along the opposite lateral sides of the headrest, and the headrest is configured to fold inwards toward the body portion of the mat with the adjustable support legs folded towards the bottom surface and along the opposite lateral sides of the headrest;
- and
- a removable cover configured to releasably couple to the headrest.
